Looking back on 2022 and
a glimpse toward 2023

Our world is in constant change and this year’s changes have been especially impactful.
We have all been dealt with substantial insecurities and had to be constantly creative to find solutions to new occurring challenges, also within our industry. On the flip side, we were able to travel the world, reach out to meet people, showcase our innovations at trade shows and put several impressive feedmills into operation. So despite severe challenges Ottevanger Milling Engineers looks back on this past year proud and grateful as our projects underline a positive outlook on future business.

Gsellmann – Austria

Organic compound feed is on the rise but whereas many compound feed producers merely redesign smaller existing installations to create organic compound feed factories, Gsellmann Mischfuttererzeugung GmbH decided to build one from scratch. The result is unique in Europe. Construction of the factory was conducted and led by Ottevanger Milling Engineers.

Vobra Special Petfoods – The Netherlands

Pet food manufacturer Vobra Special Foods produces dog and cat food. The Vobra brands (e.g. Impress Your Dog, SANIMED) and private label products are exported to appx. 35 countries. The new factory contains 36 raw material silos, an extensive tank park and 84 dosing points, thanks to which the company can increase its production capacity to 50,000 tonnes per year.

I’Anson Brothers Ltd, a leading compound feed producer on the British mainland, is expanding its operations with a brand new factory in Dalton New Bridge. This is the largest investment in the history of this family business since it was founded more than 120 years ago, and promises to be one of the most advanced and efficient production locations in Europe.

Micro Dosing Unit (MDU)

The Micro Dosing Unit (MDU) is a modular built dosing system suitable for a wide range of different applications. Very high dosing accuracy due to perfect geometry of the dosing screw and use of high end servo motor technology. Weighing is perfected by selection options regarding weighing range and scale division unit.

Protector

The Protector has a feeder roll with an internal eccentrical cleaning magnet that regulates an even spread (flow) of grains, cereals or mixture over a mesh screen into the Roller Mill. By cleaning the product flow from excessive impurities, the Protector protects the Roller Mill from wear or possible damage which could lead to undesirable downtime.
