Advanced dosing at De Heus
De Heus in Maasbracht, The Netherlands, has successfully completed the installation of a new press line to enhance the flexibility of its production process. For this project, we provided the steam and liquid dosing systems, and the assignment was completed within the agreed 12-week timeframe.
An IVS steam dosing system is being installed on the conditioner to ensure optimal conditioning of the pressed flour. Steam input is controlled by a temperature sensor and a steam flow meter in the dosing system. Fats, oils, and enzymes are delivered via existing ring circuits, installed by IVS five years ago, with room for expansion. Enzymes are precisely mixed with water in an IVS micro-dosing cabinet and applied to the coater. Fats and oils are dosed through liquid distributors, monitored by Promass flow meters in a heated dosing cabinet.
”I know no other company that has so much in-house know-how and expertise when it comes to liquid dosing for the animal feed industry.”
– Marcel Jeurissen, Plant Manager De Heus Voeders B.V. Maasbracht
