From grain to feed

Hammer Mill 650

The Ottevanger Hammer Mill 650 is a robust grinder for consistent size reduction of granulates up to 20 mm. Depending on rotor speed and screen, it can mill down to about 200 microns while keeping a smooth product flow. All welded construction, an anti vibration base, and a balanced rotor deliver stable, low noise operation and long service life in continuous duty feed plants.

  • Anti-vibration base and balanced rotor for low vibration
  • Large access doors for fast service and cleaning
  • Screen covers ~¾ of grinding circumference for high efficiency

FAQ

It grinds granulates up to 20 mm, with achievable particle sizes around 200 μm depending on the selected screen and rotor speed.

The 650-375 is available in single-rotation execution, while the 650-550 supports dual direction of rotation for balanced wear and longer component life.

No. The design allows quick and easy screen replacement without stopping the mill, reducing downtime.

The base plate is mounted on anti-vibration units and the rotor is precisely balanced, with dust-protected bearing housings for smooth operation.

A fully enclosed feeder with permanent magnet is standard, and a roll feeder with automatic self-cleaning magnet and stone trap is available; an automatic frequency-controlled feeder can also be supplied.
