Seeing double: with the digital twin

Automation and digitization are now playing an increasingly important role within the feed industry. But what does this mean on a practical level? One idea our experts have been developing is ‘the digital twin’ – a digital ‘copy’ of the feed mill that can used to simulate all kinds of scenarios and then analyze the results – with no need for physical testing or complex technical drawings.

It’s all possible due to the increasing amounts of data that Ottevanger can now generate at the strategic, tactical and operational level of the feed mill through our family of automation and digitization solutions – which our development center continues to constantly refine and improve.
