One of our newest innovations is the Ottevanger Micro Dosing Unit (MDU), developed in direct response to operators’ need for a modular and versatile solution that does it all - in everything from feed and pet food, to aquafeed and more.

One solution for all your dosing needs
Our MDU is the only solution on the market capable of dosing simultaneously on four weighers. This results in a unique combination of high throughput and extremely high accuracy for doses ranging from 100 grams to 500 kg. The MDU is also equipped with fully integrated automation control to manage dosing deviations and improve traceability and hygiene in recipe management. In addition, the unit is fitted with an agitator for poor-flowing products and, thanks to its modular design, can be expanded with additional silos.

- Suitable for complex recipes. Up to 8 dosing screws, 8 agitators and five integrated weighers (4 small, 2 large, 1 main), depending on the configuration.
- High capacity with precision. Small, large and main weighers cover typical ranges of 15, 30 and 500 kg respectively, with average absolute dosing deviations from 1 g (small), 1 g (large) and 10 g (main) at representative batch sizes.
- Wide control range and capacity options. Control range of approximately 1:1000. Screw sets available for high accuracy or high capacity dosing (approximately 3.5–9 m³/h, depending on execution).
- Hygienic, robust construction. All product contact parts in stainless steel; integrated, compact frame; total unit weight approximately 4,500 kg.
- Flexible layout. Suitable for a silo block up to 8 m³ on the frame; larger blocks possible via external support.
Available executions
- Dosing screws. Up to 8 units, selectable for high accuracy or high capacity.
- Agitators. Up to 8 units for difficult-to-handle products.
- Weighers. Combinations of 4 small weighers (≈15 kg), 2 large weighers (≈30 kg) and 1 main weigher (≈380 kg), with typical dosing volumes of 7.5–20 dm³ per screw (according to the specification table).
- Materials. All product contact parts are manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel.
- Configurable cell block up to 8 cells; silo block up to 8 m³ on-frame, or larger with external support.
