From grain to feed

Inline Weigher

Ottevanger inline weighers continuously measure and total bulk material flow in the conveying line for process control and stock monitoring, without stopping production. With capacities up to 170 m³/h, the stable hopper design delivers repeatable accuracy and smooth internal surfaces reduce product retention. Suitable for grains, meals, and pellets, it integrates with plant automation for batching, proportioning, and quality assurance.

  • Simple integration with PLC/SCADA
  • Minimal product residue; easy to clean
  • Stable weighing with robust load-cell arrangement

Your questions answered

FAQ

Accuracy is application-dependent (material, flow stability, installation). As a guideline, dynamic accuracy in the ±0.5–1.0% range is commonly achievable with proper setup; the final figure is confirmed during engineering. (Assumed range.)

Yes. Inline weighers are suitable for grains, meals and pellets; product behaviour and air entrainment are considered in sizing and tuning.

The system can be verified with test weights or a reference run; periodic checks are recommended as part of routine maintenance. (Assumed method.)

Yes. The weigher provides flow and total signals to the PLC/SCADA for batching, alarms and reporting; common industrial buses are available. (Assumed interfaces.)

The hopper and measuring zone are designed to minimise remnants; large access points support quick inspection and cleaning between runs.
