Fakieh Poultry Farms

Fakieh Poultry Farms, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is one of the largest integrated poultry producers in the Middle East. With its own hatcheries, farms, processing facilities and feed production, the company invested in a second feed mill to support further expansion.

The new feed mill was designed for a production capacity of at least 120 t/h of poultry feed. In addition, the facility includes a dedicated 30 t/h line for structured layer feed, complete with heat treatment to control Salmonella and other pathogens.

To achieve the required capacity, the plant features three grinding and mixing lines equipped with four hammer mills and single-shaft mixers. These lines supply three pelleting lines as well as other production processes. Space was also incorporated into the design for the future addition of a fourth line.

Finished feed is stored in a silo block serving three loading platforms. Bulk trucks positioned on electronic weighbridges are loaded using two stationary conveyors and one movable conveyor at a rate of more than 120 t/h. This configuration enables efficient loading of multi-compartment bulk trucks.

The entire production process is automated and controlled through SCADA and the integrated Batch Explorer control system. This high level of process automation enables centralised control of the plant while minimising the personnel required for day-to-day operation.

The result is a high-capacity poultry feed production facility designed to support Fakieh Poultry Farms’ integrated operations while providing flexibility for future expansion.
