From grain to feed

BOA Compactor

The BOA Compactor combines advanced conditioning with high efficiency pre compaction as an alternative to double pelleting or expanding. Steam and liquids are added in a double walled mixer before compression in a hydraulically controlled compacting chamber. Adjustable paddles and a three roller head ensure uniform mixing, better steam absorption, higher pellet quality, increased capacity, and lower energy use with simple integration into existing automation.

  • High-quality pre-compaction for improved pellet strength
  • Optimized steam and liquid absorption
  • Higher pelleting capacity with reduced energy use

Efficient pre-compacting for higher pellet quality

The BOA compactor combines intensive mixing with controlled pre-compaction to improve pellet quality and increase capacity. Accurate hydraulic control of the compaction level ensures consistent results, while the integrated mixing chamber provides uniform distribution and effective absorption of steam and liquids. This results in flexible raw material use, lower energy consumption compared to double pelleting or expanding, and a hygienic, low-wear process.

Your questions answered

FAQ

It combines a mixing and compacting chamber, ensuring optimal steam and liquid absorption, uniform raw material distribution, and superior pellet quality.

Three hydraulic cylinders control the distance between friction rings (3–45 mm), determining compaction pressure and density.

Up to 110°C, ideal for enhanced starch gelatinization and improved pellet durability.

The BOA Compactor achieves higher capacity at lower kWh per ton than double pelleting or expanding systems.

Suitable for feed, pet food, aqua feed, and cereal-based products requiring consistent density and high pellet durability.
