Advanced pelleting integration in Iowa
In 2024, a modern containerised feed installation was successfully delivered to Hull Coop in Iowa, United States. The project was realised in close cooperation with Pelleting Technology Netherlands (PTN) and IVS Dosing Technology, integrating two high-capacity pelleting lines within an existing feed mill environment.
The installation includes two press lines with a combined capacity of 30 tonnes per hour and 10 tonnes per hour respectively. One of the lines is equipped with the innovative MonoRoll pellet mill, designed to optimise energy efficiency while maintaining high pellet quality and production stability.
PTN supplied key pelleting components including Twin Conditioners, Progress Pellet Mills and a Crumbler. Ottevanger provided critical process equipment such as Feeder Screws, Counterflow Coolers and Cryloc Pellet Sieves, ensuring controlled product flow and optimal cooling performance. IVS Dosing Technology delivered advanced steam control systems, including Steam Flow Measuring Systems and Steam Regulation Sets, enabling precise conditioning and consistent pellet durability.
The installation was commissioned by Ottevanger-Anderson USA in collaboration with PTN and Hull Coop, resulting in a robust and energy-efficient production setup. With the integration of MonoRoll technology and advanced steam regulation, Hull Coop benefits from reduced energy consumption, improved operational efficiency and consistent high-quality feed output.
