LATEST FEEDFORWARD WEBAZINE TO FOCUS ON SCALING UP PRODUCTION FOR LOCAL MARKETS AT MID-SIZED VOLUMES

The Triott Group will broadcast its first FeedForward webazine of 2022 next month, focusing on how feed manufactures can leverage the very latest in production technology and knowhow to more profitably serve local markets at mid-sized volumes.

Called Scaling up for success, this episode is hosted by Ottevanger Milling Engineers and will be broadcast on 7 April at 11am CET. Viewers will learn how it’s possible to lower the threshold for local feed production without necessarily having to invest in a full-blown turnkey feedmill installation.

In particular, this latest FeedForward will explore the containerized feedmill (otherwise known as the Modumill) – a fast and agile technology that delivers outstanding return on investment coupled with the best in Dutch engineering quality. Developed by Ottevanger more than 50 years ago, there are more than 100 of these modular feedmills in operation today around world, in 45 countries, spread across four continents (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America).

Central to this latest FeedForward is an extended interview with Alisur, a cattle feed producer in Chile that has just commissioned its second Modumill. Executive Director, Mauricio Magnasco, explains the thinking behind their decision to choose this solution over a conventional feedmill and outlines the benefits it has delivered. “We needed something fast and reliable that guaranteed we met our contracts with feed customers,” he told FeedForward.

The episode will also include:

  • An overview of the containerized mill conducted by Ottevanger Area Sales Manager for Latin America, Doeke Oosterbaan.
  • A deep dive on how to choose the right option – tailored to the specific needs of the individual feedmill – from Ottevanger Area Sales Manager for Asia, Paul Eijmberts.
  • A high-level overview of the containerized concept and its value to customers from Ottevanger’s Head of Sales, Dennis Tijdink.

Said Dennis “As a long-term strategic partner to the feed industry, our goal at Ottevanger is always to find flexible solutions that enables our customers to scale-up their business in the most efficient way possible. The Modumill is just one of these options. We invented the concept in 1971 and have spent past 50 years perfecting it – so we are looking forward very much to sharing these insights and experiences with viewers in this upcoming FeedForward.”

As with previous episodes, viewers will be able to submit questions and comments throughout the broadcast via livestream – which the Ottevanger team will answer on an individual basis following the transmission, either directly or via social media. Later in the year, Triott then plans to broadcast a follow-up FeedForward episode that focuses on the various aspects of conventional turnkey feedmill design, construction and operation.

Scaling up for success will be broadcast on 7 April at 11am CET. As usual, it’s free, and viewers can register by visiting https://www.ottevanger.com/feed-forward-scaling-up-for-success
