Lower energy consumption with proven MonoRoll technology<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AgruniekRijnvallei expanded its pelleting capacity at its feed mill in Lienden, the Netherlands, with a second MonoRoll pellet mill<\/a>. The decision followed four years of experience with the first MonoRoll at the same facility, where the technology demonstrated lower energy consumption and improved pellet quality compared with conventional multi-roller pelleting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lienden facility produces mainly cattle and horse feed, alongside goat feed, using two pelleting lines<\/a>. Both lines now incorporate MonoRoll technology. The second line combines a BOA Compactor<\/a> with the new MonoRoll and a dedicated cooler. The new pellet mill is equipped with two 90 kW motors, compared with two 110 kW motors on the first MonoRoll installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to AgruniekRijnvallei, the MonoRoll provides significantly lower energy consumption and reduces the amount of fines in the finished pellets. The company reports a fines reduction of 0.6 percentage points, approximately 25% lower than with conventional presses. The system can also process formulations with up to 8% molasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The energy requirement reported for the combined BOA and MonoRoll configuration is approximately 3 kWh\/t for cattle feed and 4 kWh\/t for horse feed. AgruniekRijnvallei also reports improved feed structure from the new press. With two MonoRoll installations now operating in Lienden, the company has further standardised its pelleting technology while improving energy efficiency and pellet characteristics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
