Reliable pellet quality through innovative pelleting technology
Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte supplies the regional market with high-quality animal feed. To stay competitive in an increasingly demanding market, the company focuses on innovation that improves both production performance and final feed quality.
For one of its pellet lines, Raiffeisen chose to modernise the installation with PTN pelleting technology. A key part of this upgrade was the integration of the Monoroll, combined with a pre-compaction system and double conditioning. This configuration was particularly relevant for cattle feed production, where consistent pellet quality and process stability are essential.
The new setup delivered clear operational benefits. According to Raiffeisen, the line achieved energy savings of approximately 15–20%, while maintaining pellet quality and increasing throughput. In addition, the system contributed to quieter and more stable running behaviour, giving operators more control over the process and improving overall production reliability.
Double conditioning also proved to be an important factor in the performance of the line. By allowing steam to be absorbed effectively into the material before entering the main press, the system supports better conditioning time and more stable pelleting conditions. This helps Raiffeisen respond more effectively to raw material variations and recipe changes without compromising quality.
With the combination of pre-compaction, Monoroll technology and double conditioning, Raiffeisen Ems-Vechte gained greater security in throughput, product quality and operational continuity. The project shows how targeted innovation can help feed producers remain efficient, competitive and future-ready.
