I’Anson Brothers Ltd, one of the UK’s leading compound feed producers, expanded its operations with a new factory in Dalton New Bridge. This major project marked the company’s largest investment in its history and became one of Europe’s most advanced and efficient feed production facilities.

The partnership between I’Anson Brothers and Ottevanger Milling Engineers began when the first ideas for the new site were discussed. The contract signing was a special moment, as the fourth generations of both family businesses came together to launch the project. “We visited several Ottevanger plants in the UK and across Europe,” said Chris I’Anson, “and were impressed by the consistent quality of design and equipment.”

The new factory complemented the existing site in Masham and positioned I’Anson for continued growth in both domestic and export markets. It featured two independent production lines—one for cattle feed and one for poultry feed—each with a capacity of 30 tonnes per hour, and space to double capacity in the future. The installation was completed in the summer, marking the start of a new chapter for both companies.
