A conventional feed plant boosting mixed‑feed production
Supplying high‑quality feed for pigs and cattle
In Russia’s growing livestock sector, OJSC Volshanin sought to expand feed capacity and modernise production processes. The company commissioned Ottevanger to design and build a conventional plant producing 40 tonnes of compound feed per hour. The facility is equipped to manufacture balanced rations for pigs and cattle, supporting farmers’ productivity and ensuring consistent feed supply.
This project underscores the value of collaboration between a regional feed producer and an experienced engineering company. Ottevanger supplied a full suite of machinery—from intake and grinding to mixing, pelleting and cooling—alongside process automation and quality control systems. The new plant emphasises hygiene, energy efficiency and operational reliability. With its high throughput and precision, Volshanin can meet growing demand for compound feeds while maintaining product integrity and safety.
