Pellet press
The Ottevanger Pellet press for animal feed
are renowned because of their sound construction and large throughput.
The press is equipped with a vertically mounted ring type die which is fixed to the belt-driven rotor by means of bolts. The main shaft with roller head is fixed to the casing in such a way that it tilts itself automatically in case of a sudden severe overload thereby switching off the main motor. The press casing is a solid welded steel construction. Both the press and the motor are built on a heavy base plate which rests on antivibration units.
Proper conditioning of the meal is essential for a maximum capacity of
the press. Meal, molasses and steam are thoroughly mixed in the conditioner to form a solid mass which can be conveniently pressed.
Both a steam- and a molasses-inlet belong to the standard outfit of the mixer. The entire meal supply, including steam and liquid addition, are
automatically controlled from a panel which can be supplied separately.
