Micro Ingredients Weighing System
The Ottevanger micro-ingredients blending systems can contain up to 34 holding bins with each a paddle discharger and screw feeder.
Depending on the number of ingredients, the screw feeders discharge into 1, 2 or 3 weighers which, eventually, are placed in different levels and work simultaneously. In this case the top weigher has a weighing capacity of 5 kgs, the middle one 10 kgs and the lower one 50 kgs. Each with accuracies which are better than resp. 5, 10 and 50 kg.
Accuracy and operation
The individual bins are either stainless steel or mild steel with a special food quality internal coating. The screw feeders may vary in diameter whereby the larger ones are equipped with a small secondary feeder underneath for obtaining the highest possible accuracy.
Integrated processing units
In modern feed mills the micro ingredient section can work on-line with the main batching system. Depending on the size of a batch, it may be desirable to install a special mixer which mixes the micro ingredients with a carrier prior to adding into the mainstream.
